Just think of the break (other than a focus on family and self-care of course) like old-school network TV. For example: Lost. We would spend entire summers not getting any new episodes, yet we came back in droves every September excited to see what new adventures awaited us! Yes, I compared you to Lost. Though now that I think about it, every TV series would fit this analogy. The point being, we will be there to read what you post, whenever it is, because we are superfans. Now I’m realizing that your zombie apocalypse stories were you leaving us all with a cliffhanger -- but one we know will return with an episode revealing that our heroes have defeated the evil villain in the season premiere! Okay, metaphor officially overcooked!
Oh, lastly: strawberry tower! I need to get me one! Healing thoughts to Bryan and the family.
I lived blissfully unaware of what Zombies were (Yes, I know, I know ... under a rock live blissfully I) until I was cajoled into watching the Ron Swanson episode of The Last of Us. I turned to my husband about 3 minutes in and said, "So it's human bodies, taken over by alien ... zombies ... and the humans have no hope of surviving if that happens?" His head turned slowly toward me and remained silent for the rest of the week, month, year? Who knows. He was aghast.
Thank you for contributing to the potential for Zombie imagination and making ZombieStuff feel more approachable. If that's not a calling in life, I'm not sure what is. 🙏🏻4🍑
P.S. I see that Mr. Rogers t-shirt in the photo of drone-flying shenanigans and it is on point.
Jen. I love your writing. Also, my entire zombie apocalypse plan is to die. Like, immediately if possible. While I know I am very strategic, and also good in a crisis, I have zero desire to suffer or struggle or be very uncomfortable or eat terrible food. I absolutely do not want to face moral decisions like "which friend do we eat". I will be the eaten friend. My whole plan is to find a LOT of drugs and take them all. The bonus is that your Jen(M) casserole might also provide some pain relief or hallucinogenic properties.
As for the Zombie Apocalypse? My younger son survives. No question. None of us make it past the pilot. Heck we'd be lucky to make it past the opening scene.
