Ruthie and I roadtripped to your part of the state in 2022! We drove to Sacramento, then over to the Truckee area. I can't recall off the top of my head if we drove across Hwy 50 or I-80. Beautiful area, but yes, super duper hot.

We thought the British summer would never arrive here in the south-east corner... but for the last couple of days it's been trying harder than it had been. I'm still in long sleeves - but I acknowledge that our chilly summer so far has likely been nothing like Seattle! 😁

I've always taken comfort that British weather is similar to Seattle weather. Makes me feel less alone! LOL
