I feel so complicated about shows where a shitty parent finally shows up (the ending of "Dying for Sex"= 😭) I think it's a fantasy many of us can relate to, but I wish there were more stories about shitty parents who stayed that way because, TBH, that seems to be the norm. It sucks to have a strained parental relationship and not see that reflected in our movies, TV, etc.
everybody DEFINITELY loves a Zug!!
You get a ZUG HUG! ❤️
Hannah's character is so relatable. I wrote about my love for "Reboot" and tried to bring it back! https://bethlisogorsky.substack.com/p/the-case-for-a-2nd-season-of-reboot?utm_source=publication-search - LOVED this show. And the father-daughter relationship really resonated with me
I remember! I had blown off the show but your post convinced me to give it a try!
You are magical! And so is your garden!

I agree. Lucky Hank is the only one I can think of where the parent returned and was still terrible.
I never watched that show. Thanks for sharing, maybe one day they'll bring it back.
"Everyone loves a Zug."
A wow of a post, Jen. You write around an uncomfortable story with such grace. Awesome. x
