I've had the strange experience this year of suddenly becoming someone who worries - everything feels like a Big Whoop. My Mom says we often end up returning to phases of life we've skipped and perhaps that's what's happening for me. Most of my adult life I've felt a calmness and a stoicism about most things, but perhaps now I'm going through some of you went through years ago. Thanks for writing this. Good reminder for me.
Aging definitely adds perspective. I do wish I could tell my younger self not to worry so much. Life happens. We all get older and there is so much out of our hands. Dave Kraft once said God’s plan for us is not a tight rope, but rather a football field. This has helped me have perspective on heading toward the goal line even if you have to zig zag. Thanks again for sharing and I look forward to hearing more about your mom.
Until I was maybe 33, I thought I would die before I would leave the house without makeup on. Today at 37, I don't own any. Sorry, younger self :)
