Had to stop reading because you made me want to watch some new shows. Will return to this one!

Same! And Lucy Hank I've wanted to watch so I only read the first couple of paragraphs...that's the tricky thing about writing about TV shows. But maybe Jen will write a redacted version (aka spoiler free) of this post for us Zugheads.

Just recently reconnected with my dad after 9 years. Really, more like 12 or 13 since anything substantial. I was the one that reached out. He never had. I did it so I could say I had. He seemed to welcome it, and he even managed a tepid, vague apology for "the times we weren't getting along." I simply said thanks. Like many who can relate to your post, I'll never have memories of the warmth, safety, guidance, and inspiration that can come from healthy fathering. But I can know now that was about his limited ability and background, not my lack of worthiness.

"But I can know now that was about his limited ability and background, not my lack of worthiness." <-- TRUTH.

It took me about 30 years to learn that.

Jen, thanks for the shoutout and LOVE for this show. I love the father-daughter tie in with Father's Day around the corner and especially the "Lucky Hank" relevance on that theme. Hannah (Rachel Bloom) in "Reboot" is the evolved adult with tremendous self-awareness archetype we all aspire to be in our relationships with loved ones, and it's even more impressive to be this way with loved ones who disappoint. Reiser makes every role he's in slightly lovable so even when he's being a jerk, you still go, "awe, he loves her..." when he occasionally does right by Hannah.

With Hank, I see so much wasted time spent with him full of rage and hate on his dad, and to what end? He takes his wife and daughter for granted and he walks around miserable. The ending to the season for Hank has me thinking he hasn't quite figured it out despite the action towards his wife. He's showed up, showing he can change (?), but sometimes things have an expiration date.

"Grace & Frankie" I stopped watching so I'll need to go back!

I was about to give up on Season 3 of Ted Lasso. The first few episodes just seem so, I don't know, flat? I get that there's a high bar here, but still. Good to know it'll pay to stick it out.

Speaking of genius, Rachel Bloom is it.
