Confession: I lied in the opening paragraph of this post. I did NOT, in fact, schedule this in advance as planned. It was my full intention to finish it early, but instead, I spent the weekend binge watching Andor with Bryan. Which is kind of fitting, don't you think?
I think you told me about Loot before and I forgot, but I can't wait to binge it now. Also very excited to binge Andor because Cassian has always been my favorite Star Warrior.
Lately I have been so busy that I keep binging Dr Phil which is ... truly terrible. I enjoyed Umbrella Academy and The Boys a lot. I can watch The Office or Golden Girls endlessly, if that counts?
Yes, it counts to watch The Golden Girls and the Office! That would be like my 30 Rock daily viewing. I've heard of Umbrella Academy! I'll add it to my list.
How do you work through your list of shows to binge? I have a list of TV shows in Google Keep and use the random number generator to pick which one I'll start next. But this strategy has some faults -- if it picks The Wire I'm really down for the count lol. (Last year I had to separate out TV shows and Movies into separate lists, because I realized when I was in the mood to binge TV I was not in the mood to watch a movie, and vice versa.)
It’s pretty arbitrary how we decide. It’s mostly Bryan and I saying, “What do you wanna watch?” and me saying, “I don’t know, what do you wanna watch?” LOL It’s mostly based on mood and what we feel like watching. Also, popularity is a factor -- like with Andor or Ted Lasso, people were talking about it, so we joined the conversation by watching.
We sometimes have a couple different shows going at the same time, because if something is too intense I can’t watch it before going to bed so we watch a lighter show to cleanse the palette.
(I just spent three hours in the kitchen and am waiting for the cheesecake to finish baking. My feet hurt. My body hurts. My eyes don’t hurt, so I am reading.)
Not sure what my next binge will be, but I just finished Inside Man (limited series on Netflix). It was weird and somewhat unsatisfying, yet I’m hoping for a season 2.
Stoked on this list, because I love the ones I've seen. I recently rewatched Imposters on Netflix, and found Magnum PI (from the 80s) on Freeve, and mostly watched all of it just to see the one episode that was a crossover with Murder She Wrote . The West Wing (HBO Max) and Murder She wrote (Peacock) are on my always watchable list (but they're not quick to get through) and Newsroom is fantastic. I also like Lie to Me and White Collar (both on Hulu). And I can always watch a season of Survivor(Paramount plus) or Below Deck (Peacock)

oh, The Umbrella Academy is great! The Boys is also great, but much darker.
